So, what’s next? If you’re looking for a career that challenges you, excites you, and actually makes a difference, let’s talk!

Program structure

Our two-year graduate program provides you with structured development that fits right into your role. We include extra activities to boost your leadership skills, spark your innovation, and help you chart the course for your dream career.

Our graduate program consists of two streams, determined by the project you are assigned to:

Stream 1 – Work in one project/department and enjoy the stability and opportunity to develop deep knowledge of that domain.

Stream 2 – Undertake three eight-month rotations and develop knowledge and skills in different and dynamic areas of our business.

Whichever stream you join, you can be assured your career will be off to a great start.

About You:

Collaboration: Your collaboration skills will be the catalyst for turning concepts into reality, fostering an environment where teamwork is not just encouraged but celebrated.

Communication: Your commitment to truthfulness and integrity will not only build trust within our team but will also be the cornerstone of your reputation as a professional of unwavering character.

Creativity: As a member of our team, you'll be encouraged to cultivate a strategic vision, anticipating industry trends and envisioning innovative solutions.

Critical thinking: Your critical thinking and ability to analyse problems from various angles, assess potential solutions, and make well-informed decisions.

To apply, you must be due to complete your graduate studies in 2025 (or have already completed) a university degree qualification in an appropriate discipline.

Available to work full time from: February 2026.

You'll also need to be an Australian citizen and eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance due to the nature of our work.

Why BAE Systems?

Global Impact: Contribute to projects of global and national significance, making a real difference in the world.

Innovation: Push boundaries and work on cutting-edge technology that challenges the status quo.

Diversity and Inclusion: Embrace a workplace where diversity is celebrated, and inclusion is the foundation of our success.

Career Growth: Enjoy a supportive environment that encourages your professional development and offers career progression opportunities.

Be Yourself: We celebrate individuality and encourage you to bring your authentic self to work.

About the Opportunity:

Gear up to illuminate the path to commercial success! Your role as a Commercial Graduate involves mastering the art of navigating business landscapes, identifying opportunities, and ensuring the profitability and sustainability of our ventures.

The positions are available in Newcastle (NSW) and Adelaide (SA) and are offered as Stream 1 (non-rotational) or Stream 2 (rotational), depending on project requirements.

What’s next?

Short-listed applicants will be invited to participate in a 1-way video interview. Subsequent stages of the process will include a form of an interview, either in person or virtually. Once this interview stage has been completed preferred candidates will be sent background screening and pre-employment health assessments. Once all checks have been completed, successful candidates will be notified, and as we are a Circle Back Initiative all other applicants will receive a notification either via email or phone call.
